ReciPal Reporting Expands with Two Powerful New Nutrition Reports

Posted on June 22, 2026 by

We’ve expanded ReciPal’s reporting capabilities with two new reports available to all users: Single Nutrient Report and Macro Report.

While creating compliant nutrition labels is a core part of ReciPal, we know food businesses often need deeper insight into their recipes during product development. Whether you’re fine-tuning formulations, optimizing nutrition profiles, or developing products to meet specific consumer needs, understanding exactly what drives your nutrition data is critical.

These two new reports make it easier to analyze your recipes, identify what ingredients have the biggest nutritional impact, and make more informed formulation decisions.

Single Nutrient Report

The Single Nutrient Report lets you focus on an individual nutrient that and see exactly how your ingredients contribute to it.

Single nutrient report

Simply select any nutrient and instantly see:

  • How much of that nutrient each ingredient contributes
  • The percentage contribution of each ingredient
  • A visual breakdown showing which ingredients have the biggest impact

For example, if protein is your priority, you can quickly see exactly how much protein each ingredient contributes and sort ingredients from highest contributor to lowest.

This report is especially useful when optimizing a specific nutritional target and identifying which ingredients will have the biggest effect on your final nutrition profile.

Macro Report

We’ve also added a new Macro Report, designed for businesses that need a clearer view of their recipe’s macronutrient composition.

This report is particularly valuable for:

  • Meal prep businesses
  • Functional food brands
  • Companies creating products for nutrition-conscious consumers

The Macro Report gives you a complete breakdown of your recipe’s fat, carbohydrates, and protein.

Macro report

You’ll see both the total weight and percentage makeup of each macronutrient, along with a visual representation that makes the balance of your recipe easy to understand.

The report also breaks macros down by ingredient, allowing you to see exactly how much fat, carbs, and protein each individual ingredient contributes.

Better Visibility Into Your Recipe Data

These new reports build on ReciPal’s existing reporting tools, including our Nutrition Breakdown Report and exportable Nutrition Summary Report, which generates a convenient one-page multi-column PDF summary.

Like everything in ReciPal, all reports can be easily exported to CSV, giving you the flexibility to analyze and work with your data however you prefer.

We’re constantly expanding ReciPal based on customer feedback, and these new reports are a direct result of user requests.

If there’s another report you’d like to see, let us know. We’re always building.

Jack Scotti is the director of marketing at ReciPal. Prior to joining the team he was a founder of Story2, an edtech company that teaches people how to advocate for themselves through the neuroscience of storytelling. One of the first activities in any Story2 workshop was to share a memorable meal story. So even before working in the food industry, he got to experience the amazing way food connects us all. (Ask him about his family’s feast of the 7 fishes or only eating ravioli in multiples of four.) Now, he couldn’t be more excited to help food business create more dinner table memories.
