Production Plans Are Now Free to All ReciPal Users

We're excited to announce that Production Plans are now available to every ReciPal user.

Previously, this feature was only available as part of our inventory management system. Now, anyone with a ReciPal account can create production plans to determine exactly what ingredients, labor, and costs are needed to meet their production goals.

Whether you're preparing for a farmers market, fulfilling wholesale orders, or planning a large production run, Production Plans help you stay organized and avoid costly surprises.

What Is a Production Plan?

A Production Plan allows you to forecast exactly what you'll need to produce a specific quantity of finished products over a given period of time.

Simply select the recipes you want to make, enter your target production quantities, and ReciPal automatically calculates the ingredients required to meet your goals. You can even add a safety margin to account for waste, variance, or other variables.

  • The exact quantities of ingredients required
  • The total cost of ingredients needed
  • Estimated labor costs (for recipes with labor steps configured)

  • Select a date range and optionally give your plan a name.
  • Browse your recipes and click Add to include them in the plan.
  • Enter the quantity you want to produce for each recipe.
    • Choose the units that make the most sense for your operation, such as batches, packages, pounds, or cases.
    • Add an optional safety margin if you'd like extra inventory on hand.

Instantly you'll have a complete production forecast ready to guide purchasing and production activities.You can review the ingredient requirements and projected costs and print the report or export it as a CSV file.
