In addition to our nutrition label maker, many of you use ReciPal for managing and storing your recipes. And as a result, some of you have asked about getting the recipes you add to ReciPal in a format you can easily use and share offline as well as being able to share with your read-only account members. You've always been able to export the information for a recipe to a spreadsheet, but now you can also view and print a formatted version right from your dashboard.

When a Recipe Makes Less Than 1 Package

For a while on ReciPal's nutrition label generator there was a requirement that the Packages Per Recipe field (now listed as "How many packages does this recipe make?") be at least 1 package. While that is basically always the case in a production environment, it's not always the case in development.

New FDA Fiber Definition

Fiber has always been one of the required elements for the nutrition label, but the FDA never specifically defined what they meant by it. Total fiber was just that—the sum of all the fiber, soluble and insoluble, in a product. That's changed with the new labeling guidelines, and they've issued a definition, or at least they've started to. Here's where things stand now.
