Restoring Archived Recipes
Computers are tricky. You can spend an hour putting a document together and with a click of a button you delete it and can't get it back. We've all been there and it's not a good feeling. That's why we do things like automatically saving your recipes each time you add or change an ingredient on ReciPal.
Deleting a Recipe
Not too long ago we were on the phone with a customer who accidentally deleted her recipe and we realized it was going to be quite a pain (if not impossible) to get it back. But we can avoid these types of issues. Most good software has guardrails on irreversible changes, and our goal is to make good nutrition label software for you.
So, now deleting a recipe is a two step process. As the first step, you need to archive a recipe. If you do this (even mistakenly) , we move it to the archived section. It won't show up in your recipes list anymore, but you'll have the ability to restore the recipe if you decide you need it. After a recipe has been archived, you can then choose to delete it. We'll ask you to confirm that's what you want to do to ensure nothing gets deleted by mistake.
Here's to never accidentally deleting a recipe!
