We've integrated with Google Translate! Now anyone making a Canadian bilingual label can translate their English ingredient statement to French right on the French Ingredient Statement page of ReciPal.

In ReciPal's Canadian bilingual format, the English ingredient list and allergen declaration have always been shown ahead of the French ones. And we didn't have any way for you to change that inside the software. But no more! You can now switch the order because sometimes, especially in Quebec, it just makes more sense to have the French come first.

In addition to our nutrition label maker, many of you use ReciPal for managing and storing your recipes. And as a result, some of you have asked about getting the recipes you add to ReciPal in a format you can easily use and share offline as well as being able to share with your read-only account members. You've always been able to export the information for a recipe to a spreadsheet, but now you can also view and print a formatted version right from your dashboard.

For a while on ReciPal's nutrition label generator there was a requirement that the Packages Per Recipe field (now listed as "How many packages does this recipe make?") be at least 1 package. While that is basically always the case in a production environment, it's not always the case in development.

A while ago we moved from using our default database search functionality to using a dedicated search server for ingredient searches. It's much faster, consistent between autocomplete and actual search results, matches partial searches, more powerful with filtering, and just more robust.
