New Feature: My Ingredients Search
Thanks to all our wonderful, hardworking, and helpful food entrepreneur users, the ReciPal database of ingredients is growing by the day, making our product more helpful to everyone making nutrition fact labels with us.
Some users have added enough custom ingredients of their own that they've thought of useful new features. One of these ideas was particularly good and we added it to the site as fast as we could.
The New Feature
It's pretty simple: if you search the term "My Ingredients", you'll get a list of all the custom ingredients you've added to the database. Previously, you'd have to search for each ingredient, which could be a bit of work. Now, you get all your ingredients right there, and can add them to a new recipe with a single search.
More Search Features?
While we were writing this post, we actually came up with another search shortcut! What if you could search for any ingredient that is already in a recipe of yours? There is probably a decent amount of overlap between recipes, so this could make the next recipe that much easier to create the label for. Maybe it could even promote recipe brainstorming by seeing all your common ingredients in one place!
Update (March 22, 2013): This is live on the site. We couldn't resist not adding it to the search feature :)
Let us know if you can think of any other useful shortcuts and we'll be happy to add them. Email us, leave feedback, or tweet at us!
